Richard S. Hollander

CEO, Chairman

Richard S. Hollander is the Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of MetWest Ventures.  Mr. Hollander began his career in 1984, running Drexel Burnham Lambert’s West Coast investment grade fixed-income division, which oversaw all real estate and mortgage-related activities in addition to covering all West Coast banks and financial institutions.

In order to capitalize on the opportunities present in the real estate market, Mr. Hollander left Drexel in 1989, forming The Signature Group.  In 1992, he launched Metropolitan West Financial (now MetWest Ventures), an asset management and investment management platform based on the acquisition of the securities lending operations from Bank of America.  Under Mr. Hollander’s leadership, MetWest Ventures nurtured the development of several financial and investment advisory companies, with a combined AUM of $80 billion. These companies specialized in a wide range of investment management services, including core fixed-income, value equity (both domestic and international), securities lending, corporate high yield, and distressed debt.

Jamie Yarrow

COO, President

As President and COO, Mr. Yarrow oversees all aspects of MetWest Terra’s operation and growth strategies. Mr. Yarrow has focused on the unprecedented blending of the luxury travel experience with environmentally sustainable operations, resulting in financial sustainability for the company, its employees, and development partners. Through combining successful mainstays of luxury operations with innovation and creative solutions, Mr. Yarrow has led the properties to consistent success.

Prior to leading the MetWest Terra collection, Mr. Yarrow enjoyed a career with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts that spanned two decades, most recently as the General Manager of Four Seasons Palm Beach. He has a diverse background in both urban hotels and luxury resorts, having held senior positions at Four Seasons properties in Jackson Hole, Scottsdale, Boston and Santa Barbara.

Along with his experience in opening luxury hotels and resorts, Mr. Yarrow has dedicated his career to operating financially successful projects focused on detailed guest service and strong employee culture.

Ryan Schoen

Vice President of Development

As Vice President of Development, Mr. Schoen works closely with owners, architects, contractors, project teams and strategic partners focusing on repositioning, new construction and rebranding efforts for existing and proposed MetWest Terra properties. From project budgeting and market selection, to product positioning and property differentiation Mr. Schoen plays an integral role in determining how to maximize value on hospitality asset performance.

Mr. Schoen served a key role in developing the Hotel Terra concept from the ground up as well as the repositioning of The Casa Madrona Hotel and Spa where he also served as the General Manager. Schoen started his career working in restaurants at well known establishments such as The French Laundry and Gary Danko before working in operations for Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration from Cornell University.

Rick Walls

Vice President of Finance and Administration

As Vice President of Finance and Administration, Mr. Walls is charged with managing the financial operations, human resources, information technology and legal compliance of MetWest Terra on both the corporate and property levels.

Mr. Walls brings 30 years in the hospitality industry to his role at MetWest Terra, 18 with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts. After graduating from the University of Massachusetts with a degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Travel Administration in 1982, Mr. Walls began his career with ITT Sheraton at the Sheraton Center in New York City. After five years with Sheraton, in various positions in operations and finance at the property level, he joined Rosewood Hotel’s corporate office as a financial analyst.  In Mr. Walls’s 18 year career with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts he has lead the finance teams at several diverse locations including Las Colinas, Auckland, Newport Beach, Sedona and Jackson Hole.

In his last assignment with Four Seasons, Mr. Walls was the Area Director of Finance in Jackson Hole, with oversight responsibilities for Whistler and Vancouver. His extensive understanding of diverse property locations includes a firm grasp of seasonal income and staff shifts, and local financial market demands.

Bruce Grosbety

Vice President of Operations

As Vice President of Operations, Mr. Grosbety oversees the day to day operations of the MetWest Terra properties, and directs strategic sales and marketing efforts and all operational divisions.

A graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Mr. Grosbety draws on over twenty years’ experience in luxury hotel management. Following his progressive career with Hyatt and Fairmont in Chicago, Orlando, and Boston, combined with Meridien, Plaza Athenee, Nikko, and Four Seasons Hotels in New York City, Mr. Grosbety is an integral element to the continued success of our properties. During his tenure as General Manager of the Snake River Lodge & Spa, a RockResort, in Jackson Hole, Mr. Grosbety led his staff in earning numerous prestigious honors, including the AAA Four Diamond Award for five consecutive years.

Ashley Morgan

Vice President of Sustainability

With a Bachelor of Science from Cornell’s School of Hotel Administration and an MBA in Sustainable Business from Bainbridge Graduate Institute Ms. Morgan serves as the Vice President of Sustainability for MetWest Terra Hospitality. Having started her career as a manager at Tra Vigne Restaurant in Napa Valley, followed by a position as Property Manager at Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa, Ms. Morgan brings fresh understanding to the practical needs of a successful luxury property. During her tenure as Property Manager, she responded to the needs of the individual owners while ensuring a high quality product and guest experience. Ms. Morgan combines her practical experience and education in order to acheive an environmentally sustainable business model based around triple bottom line principles.

A founding member of MetWest Terra, Ms. Morgan is driven by a commitment to environmentally and socially sustainable business practices and applies this sense of responsibility to purchasing for the entire portfolio of properties, ensuring that every aspect of operations, product, and vendor relationships for all properties minimizes impact on the natural environment. Additionally she ensures MetWest Terra is acting as a socially conscious contributor to both its local and global community.

Greg Hanss

Vice President of Sales & Marketing

As Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Mr. Hanss is charged with overseeing and directing all direct sales, marketing communications, e-commerce, and revenue management efforts.  Mr. Hanss brings to his position more than 25  years of luxury hotel and resort marketing, sales and communications experience with proven success in developing and implementing innovative campaigns that strategically work to drive revenue to all segments, increase brand awareness and grow market share.

Mr. Hanss joins MetWest Terra from the top-rated luxury resort, Montelucia Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, in which he was an instrumental part of its pre-opening and leadership teams, successfully helping to navigate the 2008-built property through a variety of challenges associated with the country’s turbulent economy.  Mr. Hanss also oversaw the openings of the Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale and the Phoenician, two of the Phoenix-area’s most well-known and much-regarded luxury resorts.  In 2011, Mr. Hanss’ dedication to his career as a sales and marketing professional was recognized when he was awarded “Manager of the Year” by the American Hotel & Lodging Association.

Justin Bird

Corporate Director of Sales & Strategy

As Corporate Director of Sales, Mr. Bird brings more than twelve years of hotel and resort sales experience to MetWest Terra. With a work history with Hilton, Four Seasons and Ojai Valley Inn and Spa, Mr. Bird exceeded his company revenue goals and refined his approach to luxury group sales. As he continues his career at MetWest Terra, Mr. Bird directs sales strategy for our Wyoming hotesl and Resorts. Overseeing new and existing sales relationship opportunities, contract specifics, third party planner, wholesaler, travel agent and sales representative systems and communication in an effort to maximize group and leisure sales opportunities, Mr. Bird is an integral part of meeting our revenue goals.

Carole Manning-Kim

Regional Director of Sales

As Regional Director of Sales, Ms. Manning-Kim oversees all sales, marketing and revenue efforts for our Northern California collection of hotels and resorts.  Ms. Manning-Kim’s market knowledge of the Bay Area is second to none, having held positins as Corporate Director of National Sales and Marketing for Joie de Vivre Hotels, Director of Sales and Marketing for the Argent Hotel and as the San Francisco Convenetion and Visitors Bureau Convention Director.

Cristine Watson

Regional Director of Revenue

As a Regional Director of Revenue, Ms. Waton oversees the Central Reservations Offices based in Jackson Hole and the revenue management for Hotel Terra Jackson Hole, Teton Mountain Lodge and Spa and The Inn at Jackson Hole.  Ms. Watson joined MetWest Terra in 2007 after a revenue career that was born from her experiences with Aman Resorts and Destination Hotels and Resorts.  Ms Watson has been instrumental in transitioning new properties into our revenue systems and driving our revenue streams company wide.

Cherry Carpio

Regional Director of Revenue

As a Regional Director of Revenue, Ms. Carpio oversees the Central Reservations Offices based in San Francisco and the revenue management for Hotel Abri, The Lodge at Tiburon, the Toll House Hotel and the Casa Madrona Hotel and Spa.  Ms. Carpio joined MetWest from her previous regional revenue responsibilities with Larkspur Hotels and Resorts.  Ms Carpio lead the transition of three California hotels onto our Northern Califonia platform within a 30 day time period, and possesses a detailed knowledge of the Bay Area hotel markets.

Erica Rich

Regional Director Marketing Communications

As a Regional Director of Marketing Communications, Ms. Rich is charged with overseeing and directing all marketing communications, social media voice and public relations efforts for our Northern California collection of hotels and resorts.

Ms Rich joined MetWest Terra from the KSL Montelucia Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona where she lead the marketing and public realtions efforts for the luxury resort.   

JuliAnne Forrest

Regional Director of Marketing Communications

As a Regional Director of Marketing Communications, Ms. Forrest is charged with overseeing and directing all marketing communications, social media voice and public relations efforts for our Wyoming collection of hotels and resorts.

Prior to joining MetWest Terra Ms. Forrest served as President of j4 Strategies.  Ms. Forrest also served as the Director of Government Relations for USEC, inc.  Ms. Forrest brings the strength of a seasoned strategist to our corporate team.

Ryan Zalta

Corporate Director of Information Technology

Mr. Zalta’s ten years of experience in the information technology field keeps MetWest Terra’s’s properties on the forefront of modern innovation, function and design. Prior to joining our team, Mr. Zalta worked with the prestigious Teton Science School in operations and most recently opened the Four Seasons Resort as the Assistant Director of Information Technology. At MetWest Terra, Mr. Zalta is responsible for all infrastructure and systems at both the corporate and property levels, including communication/collaboration systems, property management systems, point-of-sales systems, back office accounting/financial systems, network security systems and multimedia systems.
